Coming Aboard part 1

Mission: S01E01 - At the Brink of Night
Location: USS Springer

The USS Springer was in orbit around Andoria. There was a slight lull while the ship took on supplies and personnel so the CO graciously allowed some of her officers a little bit of shore leave. Being as it was his home planet Shras jumped at the chance and he hopped on one of the first shuttles down. He met up with a few of his buddies and Shras was being interrogated.

" One at a time!" he said. " Mike, go." he said.

Before Mike could speak a message came over the ships comm. " All senior staff report to the wardroom. Shore leave cancelled. Make preps for getting underway." A chorus of swearing permeated the ships shuttle bay. Rolling his eyes, Shras made his way to the turbolift. " Guess home can wait." he grumbled. " Some admiral probably lost his dog or something!" he laughed. He ordered it to take him to the bridge. He assumed the Nav station while the chief was in the meeting.

The ship was a flurry of activity as the ship left orbit. The Officer of the deck ordered the helm to take them out of the Andor system. " Ensign, plot a course for the USS Constitution. Helm, make it Warp 3." he said.

" Yes sir." the pair said in unison. The ship came on the correct heading and the nacelles plashed a brilliant light as they propelled the ship forward. The ship went along until the console beeped that they were at their coordinates. " Dropping out of warp, sir." the helmsman said. He was then relieved by the chief who started the procession of the senior staff towards their positions. The Captain touched Shras on his shoulder. " My office, Ensign. Number One, you have the Bridge."

The Captain offered Shras a class of water, which he declined. " Ensign, how'd you like a promotion." Captain Holt said.

" It'd be nice, Captain. One step closer to Admiral!" he said, smiling.

The Captain let out a small laugh. " Nothing that high. Lieutenant jg for now." he said, handing him a hew insignia with his correct rank. " Your orders are to beam onto the Constitution. From there you will rendeavous with the Musashi to assume duty as their chief navigator. You are hereby dismissed to pack." the CO said.

Shras saluted and turned to do just that.
