Medical log- day 1

Medical log, Dr Ariam Strong

Ref: Patient 1458- Amanda Turell

The patient has suffered extensive damage to her right arm and shoulder from a high yield disruptor bolt fired at close range, initial scans show the ball and socket joint has shattered into multiple peices. We are all surprised the arm was not severed entirely.

She has been placed in a medically induced coma for now while we plan the multiple surgeries we believe will be neccessary to reknit the bones, several nerve clusters have been damaged or burnt out completely this coupled with severe but repairable damage to the deltoid and pectoral muscles and torn tendons in the bicep will impede motion and feeling in the joint and down the arm.

Even if we are successful and are able to undo the majority of the damage done to her it is highly unlikely that she will ever regain full use of the limb nor full feeling and dexterity.

With luck the surgeries will be accomplished smoothly and quickly to allow her to begin the long recovery process.

End log.
