Training for just in case

Posted on Thu Oct 26th, 2017 @ 12:40am by

V woke up to find Alphonso getting dressed.

"Morning handsome!" She spoke out over a yawn.

"Morning gorgeous, you want coffee?" As he took a sip of his own.

"That sounds good. Milk and two sweetners, no sugar. The only thing sweet going anywhere near this temple of a body is you!" She purred as he looked over his shoulder at her. She was wearing the T shirt that he had given her last night. It was rather form fitting and Philips liked the way his shirt hugged her amazing body.

"Coming right up." Said Philips, which was obviously not the response she was used to in this setting. But that was all a part of his cunning plan to win her over completely. Under normal circumstances, she would have any man eating out of her hands. But this man was different. It was almost as if he could care less. But she could tell and hoped that he did care.

"What's on the schedule for today?" She asked

"I logged a training out line a minute ago. After you get situated, meet me in training as I have something for you." As he said it, he held up one finger as if to say, wait, don't ask. "You will know when it's time. Now get that pretty body of yours, out of my bed and into the shower. We have a busy day ahead of us." Replied Philips

He walked over to the replicator. "Coffee white two sweetners." And when it was done, he placed it near the mirror which is where he was sure she would end up.

The coffee had time to cool and as soon as she stepped out of the shower she grabbed it. But as she looked around the room. Alphonso had gone.

"What the.......?" She said out loud. And continued to get dressed.

Arms Room USS Musashi:

Philips had opened the arms room to issue the duty weapons to the security detail that was working the present shift. He had also secured a box that he initially had picked out for himself, but now, he wanted to give it to someone special.

So he unpacked the brand new light weight Colt Commanders and placed one on the table and layed another in a special box. This one he would give to Vanessa. He replicated a small of the back holster engraved with her name. Then he wrapped it up and waited for the right moment to give it to her.

After the session was done, she had estimated that she fired over 400 rounds down range today and because of the prep and training Philips had given her, she could happily shoot a couple hundred more! But Philips brought all of that to a halt.

"Have a seat." He said ubruptly.

She looked at him quizzically! But she did as he requested.

"Look, I'm not one for making speeches. But this thing that's forming between us needs to be given a name. So in light of that, I want you to have something that I think will aid you in being safe and could possibly save yours or our Commanding Officers life." And he reached under the table where he had placed the box on top of the seat, and produced the very nice shinny black box with the Colt emblem on the case.

"This is for you. Please accept it as a token of my feelings for you and my desire to look after you. I think the best way to say you love someone is back ensuring their longevity and safety. This is my way of saying, I want you around for a long time to come, and I hope it's by my side!" And he opened the box.

Upon seeing the weapon, a tear formed in the corner of her right eye. She wasn't sure if the tear was a direct result of his words of the thing of beauty that lay on the table in front of her. She reached for it and lightly touched the walnut grips. The Colt emblem dead center of the grip, brown wood against the shinny black body of the handgun. "It's so beautiful." And she removed it from the case to feel it's weight.
"OMG, that is so sweet." And she quickly stood up and threw her arms around his neck with the gun in her right hand and kissed him hard on the lips.

"You have three magazines, 7 rounds each and one round chambered that gives you 22 shots to get out of trouble with. Use this only if your phaser does not work. Since it's not an energy weapon, it should be pretty effective on any species we happen to be at odds with. Take good care of it and it will take good care of you. It's ok to let a little carbon build up on this weapon. You'll know when a full clean is needed. I've replicated a couple boxes of ball ammo and a couple boxes hygroshock, each box holds 50 rounds, so you're good to go for a bit. I suggest taking a box of ammo with you on deployments just in case.

She hugged him again and then showed her that her weapon was a sister weapon to his. "They are a matching set. Now let see how she shoots. "

An hour later, they were off the range and on their way to dinner! The night ahead proved to be more interesting than either of them had previously experienced or anticipated.
